SHIBORI
For these samples I used the technique Shibori. For my fabric I chose white cotton as I felt this would help the indigo/ blue colour stand out. I then went on to using the technique machine embroidery to add some finer detail to my work.
SCREEN PRINTING
Here I used the technique screen printing, I have screen printed on a variety of materials and colours. This was an experiment for a potential final piece therefore I wanted to see what materials and colour palette would compliment my chosen media the most.
LINO PRINTING
I have created these samples by using the technique lino printing. I have experimented by using two different colours of paint and two different paper colours. These samples were an experiment for a final piece.
EXPERIMENTING - EMBROIDERY & APPLIQUE
Here I have experimented with two techniques; embroidery and reverse applique'. I used a sample of beige fabric to create these pieces. On my reverse applique' I incorporated bubble wrap and used calico as a backing.
